virginity is the most over-rated virtue!and one way to keep girls virgins is to act like sex does not exist.that we were actually dropped by storks!parents in india and i am sure in most parts of the world drill it into the heads of children that sex is a shhhhhhhh word.it is something that should be kept away from dining table conversation or from any conversation at all!the result is obviously what can be expected.with hormonal changes children begin to wonder about the different sensations they go through.and because sex is a taboo subject in the family they look to the outside world for information;the outside world before the internet happened was restricted to friends who were equally confused or cheap porn easily available in the market.so all they got was half baked information which they were better without.what the parents dont realise is that if ignorance is bliss ,knowledge is power!especially with the threat of STDs looming large sex education has become an invitable part in the school curriculam.the sooner the society strips away the shame related to as natural a thing as sex the more empowered will it become.a body will make its demands felt no matter how much parents try to cover up the S word.by rationally talking about the matter will help the children from making mistakes which might cost them thier's and their beloved's life.
